Situated near the bank of the Coosa River, in Wetumpka, Alabama, Magnolia Cottage is owned by the Moody family that served wonderful meals and hosted beautiful wedding receptions at Chantilly Inn located in Montgomery and at Marengo located in Lowndesboro, Alabama.
Upon arrival you will be welcomed by the owners, Mark and Jane Moody, who will show you around and make you feel comfortable. When you enter the Chesterfield Tavern, filled with pictures of horse scenes and Toby mugs, you will feel as though you left the country and landed in an English pub. The bartender will be there to listen, pour a drink and provide interesting conversation.
You are welcome to relax and chat with your friends in the Cottage Sitting Room before the dinner bell rings. Whether you are dining in the Magnolia Room or the History Room, you are sure to love the oriental carpets, antique furnishings and exquisite décor
The minimum group size is 16 and the most we can seat is 28. However, for stand up receptions, we can accommodate as many as 42. We are currently working on the grounds so that we may offer larger outdoor tent receptions.
Magnolia Cottage has its own tavern and although we do not have a liquor license, we welcome our customers to bring their own wine, beer or choice of spirits for your event. We provide the bartender and the mixers for your event at no additional cost.
The cost for your event depends on choice of menu and any additional services you may choose. No outside caterers are allowed - we provide all catering needs.
